The Ideal 176863 Diverter Valve Cartridge with 174813 Motor is a replacement component designed to control switching between the central heating and domestic hot water circuits in selected Ideal combi boilers.

The diverter valve directs heated water either to the radiators or to the hot water taps. If the cartridge or motor becomes faulty, the boiler may no longer switch correctly between heating and hot water modes.

Common Fault Symptoms

• No hot water from the taps
• Heating works, but hot water does not
• Hot water works, but the radiators remain cold
• Boiler remains stuck in heating mode
• Fluctuating water temperature
